Student Blog: GW4 Alliance Launch Cardiff
Tuesday the 25th of November, a second GW4 Alliance launch event was held in Cardiff. As WISE students we were invited to send another delegation of people and attend. Due to lectures and assignment deadlines no random drawing of people was required this time and we set off with just 5 people.
As could be expected, our train got delayed about halfway through the journey and we had to spent some time on a freezing cold station. When we finally arrived in Cardiff we were still a bit early (hurray for planning) and decided to warm up over some pints.
The Launch event took place in the Millenium centre and had a similar setup as the London event. Speeches, champagne and light snacks were all provided, coupled with another opportunity to speak with some more senior academics. Unfortunately we had to leave somewhat early due to a 9 o’clock lecture the next day and had an uneventful trip back home.
