Research Presentations

This week has seen a great set of WISE CDT researcher presentations!  

On 17th February CIWEM’s Welsh Branch hosted a webinar on Research in Fluvial and Coastal Waters, with presentations from Cardiff PhD candidates Nefeli Makrygianni on “Air-wave interaction in wave boundary layer” and Sam Rowley on “Modelling flood dynamics in the middle Severn Catchment”.

Bath’s Andy Barnes presented at WIRC’s 18th February Colloquium on “Improving regional monthly rainfall forecasts using convolutional-neural networks.”

And, to finish the week, the 19th February GW4 WSA webinar saw Dr Eirini Nikoloudi from the University of Exeter presenting aspects of her PhD research on “Event Management and Event Response Planning for Smart Water Networks”, a project undertaken in partnership with United Utilities.
